Road Trip

In celebration of Jon successfully completing his qualifying exams, we decided to go on a road trip. We chose to go to a Sigur Ros concert in Utah, where we could also visit with the Clarks and Chambers, and then to Colorado Springs to see Josh Bower and the kids.

We stayed at Amy and Kevin's San Francisco styled Condo...

We really felt like we were in the Bay Area!

Kevin took us on a scenic drive to downtown Salt Lake City for lunch and was an excellent tour guide. He had lots of information about the area.

We also went on a fun drive to Park City, home of the Sundance Film Festival.

Kevin & Amy give their interpretation of the eagle sculpture.

Jon & Ali give their version of the eagle stance.

Ice Cream Justification: Frozen Banana's are healthy....filled with potassium...dark chocolate has anti-oxidents and nuts are a good source of protien right?

We stopped for a picture at Bridal Veil Falls.

Jon was very excited to learn that Utah was the location for the famous Footloose dance scene, and we took a picture from the car of the wharehouse where "Ren" danced out his frustration.

Grant loves the flavors of Bombay...so we went to the Bombay House for dinner.

Aunt Ali love's reading bed time stories to Grant. (He has no idea it is a potty-training book)

Do We Have To?

Sisters went for a run even though they were not really in mood to do it. Grant did not want to be left behind, so Uncle Jonny brought Grant to the track and together they cheered the athletes on!

The Game is ON!!!

Emily is rolling.

Ali and Kevin are "Humdinging."

Emily & Mike are "Data-Heading."

Ali is sculpting.

Nobody knows what they're doing.

Amy & Kevin host a Sunday Brunch.

We had Turkey Enchiladas! Mmmmmmmm!

We stopped in Laramie, Wyoming for lunch and saw T.J.'s school!

Next Stop Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Josh took Jon and I to dinner.

Kyle hangs with is Aunt & Uncle.

Josh took us to this crazy Chinese buffet place for lunch.

The kids were in school for most of our visit, but the time we did get with them was GREAT! We were so taken a back by how grown-up and sophisticated they were.

We had a pizza party and then Kira and Kyle taught us how to play Wee-Fit.

The Great Salt Lake

We got to drive through Utah again on the way home and we snapped pictures of some of the cool things we saw along the way.
