It's Been a While...

As most of you know, I've been a bit preoccupied and have not blogged in a long while. I've taken very little photos lately so bare with me.

First off, Grandma celebrated her 88th birthday those that could, drove down to Redding for the day.

I bet the women in the family can guess what I'm thinking here....

For some reason, Jon thought it would be fun to document me trying to keep down my breakfast (picture taken a several weeks ago).

Finally, NO, I'm not starting my own sweatshop!

Robyn brought over her two machines last weekend, and we had a sewing bee.

A few weeks ago, my mother-in-law sent me her sewing machine and overlock machine. I have to say, this is one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever recieved. They work great, and I've had fun learning to use this new equipment. The sewing machine makes EXCELLENT Buttonholes! The Overlock/Serger machine is also pretty easy to use. I've even enrolled in an Overlock introductory course at the Davis Craft Center, to insure I don't break anything.

And last, but not least...

We have been looking for houses in Woodland, and we finally found a cute little house in our $$ range with lots of potential. Cross your fingers for us...we hope the bank accepts our offer. We should hear something in a few weeks. If it does not work out, we will just continue the search.

So that's it for pictures. Hopefully we will have more soon!

Person's I think CAN pull off the Aretha Hat.

I felt it was a bold move for this singing legend to wear this crazy Couture Hat, and I was thinking, WHY should she be the only one????

The Cat pulls it off because of the obvious "Attitude."

I think E.T. rocks it the hardest!

Hey, we still have SOME friends!

Jon and I do not get a lot of visitors these days living all the way out in Davis, but every once in a while, a familiar face drops in. Christmas time this year, we laid low, but our buddy Kevin found us!

Fun with bad lighting.

We also got a surprise visit from our favorite New Yorker, Lauren this holiday season!

Why does it seem that every time we have a visitor, we force them to take pictures in our back yard??

Lauren and I met Robyn in S.F. for some French cuisine.

Our server snapped off a shot on accident, but I love our faces and Robyn showing off her money!

Our talented photographer, made sure to get our heads in the picture this time. (I love that you can see the chandelier).

After New Year's, we got a visit from Ali's long lost room mate, Steve and his son, Logan! They stopped by Davis on their way to the Sacramento Train Museum.

They were not at our house long enough to get the coveted back yard photo shoot.

Christmas 2008

Jon & I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas!

For those of you that were not with us this year...here is the RECAP!

Jon & I hosted Christmas this year, and we had our traditional turkey "Norman" dinner on Christmas Eve.

Grandma came down from Redding and stayed with us at the Chateau Bower.

She helped supervise the dinner.

After dinner we took naps...

We opened presents and watched home movies.

Twins.

Christmas Day

Wever's return to the Bower's in full force! We eat snacks and sandwiches and hangout.

We watched Evan open his presents.

We had Curry Turkey for dinner and played games.

Drill Baby Drill...taught Evan how to play our favorite game, "King Oil." Overall it was a stress-free relaxing Christmas. We only wish we could be with all of our family!

Don't You Wish You Shared A Birthday With This Guy....

I'm so lucky.

Dad got me a kick-butt wide angle lens for my birthday/xmas present.

Then we all went out to dinner at "Little Prague."

Jon got me a baby E.T. doll.

Jon's Parents got me the best theme gift...my favorite theme ...WINE!
