No more waiting, we have finally heard back from the appraisers, and our loan has been approved!!!!!! We will be closing on July 10th, and we will have keys to our new/old home.
We don't have a lot to do to get it ready, but we do need to paint the inside and decide what we want to do with the floors and guest bathroom (it is really out-dated). We plan to actually move in the last week of July.
This bathroom will be easy to update! Carpet in the bathroom.....WHO DOES THAT!!!
The kitchen still has the original cuboards...I LOVE them, so we are going to try to stick with them for now. Appliances are old, but work, and we will probably get new ones when the time and $$ is right.
This 1950's house still has a lot of it's old character...so we want to modernize without losing its 1950's appeal. (Lamp is coming DOWN). 
This will be the office (we think we got hardwood floors under this hideous carpet.
This will be the nursery. 
The backyard is pretty big, and already has a covered patio for entertaining, and an established garden with rose bushes and citrus trees.
All in all, we have found a very solid house in a wonderful established neighborhood. We are buying it from the original owners, and they took very good care of it. The roof, Central AC and double pane windows are all brand new (only two years old).
We are very excited about this houses potential and can't wait to make it home!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! It looks perfect. I think my favorite part is that backyard. Can't wait to visit.
