Jon and I have found it difficult to keep up with all the Birthdays this month. Hence why I'm posting July Birthdays in August. Here are some of the Birthday Highlights.
Evan Alexander Wever turns...
Oops...I think he means...
Let's reinforce that...
We started off Evan's 7th Birthday party at a Vacaville pizza place. We brought our own cake, but forgot candles. Luckily the owner of the restaurant had candles we could use.
We opened presents, and Evan really showed us what a big boy he is by reading all his birthday cards.
Next Stop...Scandia!
The entire family played a game of "putt-putt" golf! Too bad Grant "Lefty" Clark wasn't there to show us his moves.
Miniature golf is so fun. The Backdrop makes me feel like I'm in another country, surrounded by European castles, and Scandinavian cottages. All you have to do is ignore the sounds and smells of the freeway you can see from the course.
Next, we raced Go Cars. Mother thought she was a speed demon, and found herself in front of the pack. Of course, this was only temporary.
Mom's car breaks down before the race is over, and she has to be hauled in by Scandia employee's.
Aunt Amy & Evan Burn it up!
Dad's strategy...get so far behind that you look like your in front when the photographer snaps the picture. Genius.

Finally, we finished up by playing in the arcade. Jon's personal favorite. Daddy even gave us tokens just like he used to do in the old days.
Of course, Dad made a B-line to all games with guns.
Mom still thinks she is a speed demon.
Air Hockey Wars: Uncle Jon v.s. Evan Alexander
Man v.s. Machine
Mom liked the laser jump rope.
She jumped over that laser several times. She was good! She was determined to earn the coveted tickets!
Despite all of her best efforts, Kevin felt he had to inform her that the jumper game was not on. She needed to put in a token. Mother was disappointed, but decided to start over and play with a token this time. She was eliminated on her first jump.
It ended up being a very nice birthday celebration, and we are all very happy that Amy and Kevin were able to join us.
Grant and his family came to California to celebrate his 3rd birthday. He spend the morning playing at Pixi Playland with his cousin Evan. While down for a "nap," and I use this term lightly, Grandma and her crew helped decorate for his party.
WALL-E was the theme.
Mom knows how to throw a party, and what food do you imagine when someone says party...SALAD. Grant's birthday actually had a WALL-E-SALAD theme.
Mom making potato salad.
3-year-olds LOVE, Asian Green Salad.
...and Tortilini Italian Salad.
It's not a party without Greek Pasta Salad.
Emily makes the delicious Fruit Salad.
There is only one thing better than birthday salads....
birthday salad served in a bucket!
Uncle T was in charge of the grill! Too bad we filled up on salad before the hot dogs were done.
Grant was surprised to see all the decorations and salad.
R.I.P. Potato Salad.
Grant loved his WALL-E cake.
The guys loved the WALL-E cake too.
Grant got lots of loot, and was happy to get his very OWN Kawasaki 4-wheeler. Now he can go riding with cousin Lennon!
Off to Modesto!

You really can't expect to have that many salads and not have one salad mishap! At least the shovel made clean up easy!

Jon's older brother also had a birthday, so this gave us an opportunity to visit James, Tracy and the kids in Modesto. As always, James made us a delicious lunch. Jon was in heaven, because Taco's were on the menu, and Jon lives and breaths Mexican food.

Ali, I just about peed my pants reading your blog today about all the birthday salads. You got some great shots and I want them.
Please don't pee in the salad.
